We human beings are life flowers.

We open and are fed from the light and water to grow. We also need to close our petals and integrate the nourishment we receive.

There is a natural opening and closing. This is the navigation between our spiritual nature and our human nature.

Many clients enter therapy after having a spiritual ‘peak’ experience or a ‘spiritual crisis.’

Crisis is the soul’s desire to integrate the awakening moment or awareness that has been given. These moments can happen at any time of life but most often occur during intensified experiences (ie. during sex; drug; meditation; breakups; death & grief; job loss).

In these times we are both expanded and humbled.

The expansion can feel awe inspiring in the moment and can also bring up fear and confusion on the back end.

Learning about this spiritual self is an essential aspect of psychological integration.
